COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE
As an FHA Asset Manager at Walker & Dunlop (“W&D”), Rafael manages and services 499 HUD-insured multifamily real estate properties with a total value of $9.87 billion. These properties include affordable housing and sustainable developments as well as healthcare and memory care facilities. Before W&D, Rafael was an FHA Analyst and Processor at Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital, LLC (“BWE”) in New York City, where he specialized in sizing and screening commercial multifamily loans primarily using financial models. Rafael serviced over 80 commercial real estate projects, scattered throughout the United States, with a combined lending amount over $979 million. These loans included multifamily and mixed-use new construction, redevelopment, rehabilitations, historical rehabs as well as refinance projects. Prior to BWE, Rafael was an associate at Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Headquarters in Manhattan.

MILITARY
As a Captain and Armor Officer in the United States Army, Rafael’s military service includes one deployment commanding 56 Cavalry troops in Baghdad which completed over 300 convoy and reconnaissance missions in Iraq from 2009 to 2010. Today, Rafael continues to serve as the Assistant Operations Officer (AS3) for a tank battalion with the 3rd Squadron, 278 Armored Cavalry Regiment, Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
